Project Details

• To update Dubai’s fish stocks assessment and monitoring program due to overexploitation and lack of information on Dubai’s fisheries.
• Project was executed along with our partner CEFAS of world class reputation, capability and experience to provide high quality planning and execution of all aspects of the work.
• Conducted land based and sea-based surveys, data collection and collation from secondary sources, data was stored in spatially referenced database.
• Web based application-eSpecia enabled visualization and basic analysis on the surveyed data.
• Tridel provided documentary support for:
✓ Strategies formulation for protection of fish stocks
✓ Development of biological reference points for regular monitoring programs
✓ Monitoring of marine resources in general, and fish stocks in particular
