Integrated Real-time Met-Ocean Monitoring System for Dubai Canal
Project Details
• Tridel is implementing an integrated system for continuous monitoring of the water parameters.
• The system includes a network of Six (6) buoys for providing a high temporal and spatial resolution of the water parameters in the Dubai Canal.
• The monitoring network includes weather and tide gauge stations in addition to H-ADCP stations for collecting water velocities at four locations along the water canal and monitoring the discharge at high accuracies.
• Also, the project scope includes implementation of two buoy based vertical ADCP stations at near shore locations outside the Canal for monitoring of sea level, current profiling and directional waves.
• Data from these stations are to be integrated to the environmental website portal implemented by Dubai Municipality – Environment Department.
